The painting The Rose Arbor has the face of Kwan Yin looking through an arbor, or trellis, covered with roses. The most common interpretation of a rose is that it typically symbolizes immortal love, or undying love, which is why it is one of the most popular flowers sent on Valentine's Day. This depiction came after placing a sculpture of Kwan Yin inside a lovely arbor that my sons and husband had built me for Mother's Day
